The BeNe Ladies Tour will have its fourth edition from Thursday, July 13th till Sunday, July 16th, 2017. Some major changes will be made compared to the previous editions. An upgrade to UCI 2.1 level should increase the quality and reputation of the stage race significantly. In addition, the race has been extended to 4 race days.
The start of this high quality womens elite cycling event will take place in Vlissingen (NL). On the eve of Thursday, July 13th, a prologue will be held on the boulevard of the Zeeland coastal city. Vlissingen expresses the intention to participate in the BeNe Ladies Tour for at least three years.
On Friday, July 14th, the race goes from Vlissingen to Philippine. Noteworthy for this stage is that the entire convoy will drive through the Westerscheldetunnel. It will be special, riding through this 6,6km long tunnel with 4,5% gradients and 60m below sea-level at its deepest point. Quite a challenge!
De two final days will take place on Belgian territory. On Saturday, July 15th, a short stage in line and an evening time trial are scheduled in Sint-Laureins. And last but certainly not least, Zelzate will host the final stage on Sunday, July 16th.
