The BeNe Ladies Tour will have its fifth edition from Thursday, July 19th till Sunday, July 22nd 2018. We’re curious who will follow Marianne Vos on our list of honour. In this international UCI 2.1 Womens’ race we will present some remarkable novelties.
The race takes off in the Dutch town of Oosterhout. In the streets of this community close to Breda a prologue will take place in the evening of Thursday, July 19th. Oosterhout has a tradition of welcoming cycling races since thay have hosted both Eneco Tour and Boels Rental Ladies tour in the past.
One day later the circus moves to Belgium, more specifically to Merelbeke, hometown of Jolien D’hoore. The triple Belgian Champion that won the BeNe Ladies tour twice in the past will certainly be one of the top riders at the start. “My fans don’t get many chances to cheer for me in our own region, but now I’m delighted to ride this kind of quality race this close to home” Jolien stated. On this day we will have the queen stage with some wellknown bergs from the spring classics.
De two final days remain the same as previous years. On Saturday, July 21th, our peloton heads to the “Meetjesland”. On the national holiday a short stage in line (ideal for the sprinters) and an evening indivual time trial are scheduled in Sint-Laureins. And last but certainly not least, Zelzate will host the final stage on Sunday, July 22nd.
